Based on the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine EFT uses
the endpoints of meridians. Tapping on these endpoints of meridians was discovered around 40 years ago by Roger Callahan. Working on it, he found that the energy system in the body was changing while
tapping on these points.
From the more scientific perspective, what todays researches are showing, is that while tapping on these endpoints of the meridians in our body while focusing on the stress, the anxiety, the pain,
whatever’s bothering us, we actually send a calming signal to the amygdala in the brain which is the “fight or flight” response center in the brain.
So when we feel stress in our body, when we feel anxious, when we get angry or sad, the amygdala is the place, where it comes from, it is the stress center that is activated by stress
signals.
Tapping these points while concentrating on the subject/problem is sending calming signals to this amygdala, it is deactivating the amygdala, it´s releasing that stress. You still remember what happened or what was bothering you, but you see and feel it from a distant view - the “charge” connected to the memory can disappear....
This stress response of the amygdala is often overwhelming, because
its activation is connected to unconscious memories - we often react on daily stress aspects, for exampel: being to late or having too much work to do...- as our ancestors did, when a tiger came
around the corner and they had to "fight or flight"....
In these times of Corona virus still spreading so is uncertainty and anxiety.
The challenge is, that we can become so stressed as we read the news, every day different rules, the fear of getting infected, social phobias,etc....
From scientific studies we know that increasing stress,
worries and anxiety can weaken the immune system very strongly.
The intention of using EFT-Tapping is to help you to release stress and anxiety for supporting your immune system, and feel empowered to find good solutions to keep on going through and out of this
crisis.
